Pratham's Wise Stream Selection- A session with the youth.

 Amidst the fearful ocean of the Covid-19, Well- directed thoughts can constitute a strong and ever-evolving island which could resist the consequences of the pandemic.

Believing the same, Kulachi Hansraj Model School arranged a webinar on 25th April, 2020 for class 10 students, and on 18th July, 2020 for class 11 in order to provide their thoughts a right direction and facilitate them in choosing the appropriate stream.

The webinar was called "Wise Stream Selection" and was taken by Mr. Amit Vij(Career expert at PRATHAM INSTITUTE). 

The webinar was like an online ladder offered to students as it guided them step by step in order to combat stress regarding stream selection and further, select the best stream for themselves.

It mentioned to students that external influence , comparison with peers, the aspect of social status and expectations form the perfect recipe for STRESS.

However, Mr. Vij took the students ahead and provided them with an easy shield to defend themselves against the stress.

He provided the 200 attendees with ideal ways to choose the best career for themselves which would in turn help them decide the stream. He mentioned that students need to analyse their personality, interests, values and their studying style. Eventually, a combination of all four would  bring in front of the students, the image of their desired career. To further simplify the selection process for them, Mr. Vij mentioned to the students about various streams present in the Indian Education system and the career options related to them. The students were also told about the subject options they could choose from, while they select science, commerce, humanities or vocational subjects.

The session truly was a lantern for the students while they were entangled in the dark atmosphere of their confusion!
