Mental Health Month-2019
An initiave of the Psychology department of KHMS, and thereby, of Prayas Club, to celebrate the Mental Health Awareness Month in the school last October to mark the event of World Mental Health Day observed on 10th October every year throughout the world.
Following was the list of activities which were carried on with full fervour and which recieved responses that re-assured the very fact that young minds are blossoming to form a mentally healthy society:
- Distribution of Special Badges prepared by Psychology learners of the school to be worn throughout the month.
- Poster making - posters made by psychology learners to be displayed all across the school to spread Mental Health Awareness.
- Special Assembly on the 10th of October - World Mental Health Day 2019
- Slogan writing competition
- Display board presentation
- Awareness rally to be carried out within the school premises on the 5th of October, 2019
- Interactive Session with Clinical Psychologist - Ms. Aanchal Chattrath
- Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Campaign
- Interactive sessions for students of classes VII, VIII and IX on principal issues such as Bullying and Peer Pressure to be undertaken by students of class 11th and 12th throughout the month.
- Visit to Kulachi Manovikas Kendra - for XII grade learners
- Anger Management and Stress Management sessions
- Movie Screening - The Gods Must be Crazy for Class XI and Sybil for Class XII.
- E-magazine to be launched/released including various articles, self-composed poems, stories, write ups, etc by psychology learners.
Mental health should not be ignored, going to a psychologist or a counselor should not be frowned upon, and asking for help should not be considered wrong. To fight this stigma, we undertaook these activities.
